Becoming a FUSE member allows you to join a quickly-growing eco-spiritual community where people of faith, academic experts, and elected officials join together to address the very serious issues that are a result of our fossil fuel dependence. Private individuals, heads of organizations, and faith and spiritual leaders all have a crucial role to play in building a clean and sustainable future.
FUSE membership is open to all. As a member, you'll receive access to stewardship consultation services to help your house of worship reduce energy costs, email updates with the latest climate and clean energy news, and access to a worldwide network of faith-based, spiritual, and secular organizations and communities working to make sustainable energy and energy efficiency possible for all. Please contact Jesse Glickstein at jesseg@fusenow.org or 1-877-775-FUSE with any questions.
FUSE Members are asked to
-
Recruit your faith community
People look to their spiritual leaders for guidance, moral advice, and inspiration to act. We ask that you refer your faith or spiritual leader to our organization and website. FUSE provides information and data on issues, examples of similar work occurring in other areas, and examples of other sermons to assist in this process.
-
Reach out to friends, family, and colleagues
It is vital that we mobilize large numbers of people to make the greatest impact possible. Your involvement with FUSE will inspire your friends, family, and colleagues to act and join you on this journey. FUSE asks members to invite their colleagues to join in our work.
-
Strategic Legislative Advocacy
FUSE identifies key legislators and elected officials who play a crucial role in moving energy legislation forward and coordinates letter-writing, phone calls, and personal visits with these legislators to hear the message directly from members of faith communities.
-
Support FUSE
In order to keep our services available to those communities in which cost is an barrier to participation, we ask members who are able to make a personal donation and/or a contribution to FUSE from a community’s discretionary fund.
